Facelift at the Bouillon Youth Hostel=20

Facelift at the Bouillon Youth Hostel
The Bouillon Youth Hostel is undergoing a comprehensive =
facelift.
Before long some guests will already be able to see that the =
lino has been changed and the rooms repainted, and we have new beds in =
the building near the reception.
In January, the multipurpose hall, youth hostel kitchen and =
restaurant dining room will also be given a new look.
The g=EEtes are not being forgotten, either. Here the beds =
will also be changed in order to meet the new safety standards required =
in group accommodation. The old beds will be taken in by the Florenville =
Red Cross, which will be able to come to the aid of a number of =
families, we can be sure.
The hostel has a whole host of other new projects for 2010, =
too.
For those who can't wait or want to satisfy their curiosity, =
we'll be putting the photos on the website as soon as everything is in =
place. and we'll be waiting for your bookings!

No, there's nothing happening in Namur. well, OK, the =
odd thing here and there!
You'll observe a total lack of action in Namur, with =
the Christmas market (mini concerts, international handicrafts, perhaps =
even a drop of mulled wine) and the weekly concerts put on courtesy of =
Patrick Quineaux (a visual artist who opens his workshop to music, =
exhibitions and maybe a little something to eat and drink).
All will be peace and quiet, too, on 3 December at =
8.00 p.m. in a certain F=E9licien Rops Youth Hostel where the group "ON =
prend l'air" will be presenting their new CD "PANG" (free admission). =
The work is a lament by man in his confrontation with the machine, and =
you can get a taste of it at www.myspace.com/onprendlair.
Let's also forget the soup kitchen every Monday in the =
pedestrian precinct (why not go and share your ideas around a nice bowl =
of soup rather than be stuck at home watching the television?).
After that, there's not a great deal else to do or see =
at the belvedere, either, where concerts and exhibitions are regularly =
staged (www.belvedere-namur.be).
Do I need to mention the theatre, too =
(www.theatredenamur.be)?
So you see, a succession of evenings in, on your sofa =
with a good book, because when all is said and done, Namur is dead(ly =
boring)!
For New Year's Eve you also need to be quick to book =
the ?40 buffet dinner, but, well, seeing as there's nothing to think =
about between now and then, and it's just about the only little thing =
that happens, that should be OK. J=20

The season of Christmas markets is with us again=20
The magic of Christmas comes to life again in the =
centre of Li=E8ge, where the "Cit=E9 de No=EBl" Christmas market runs =
until 30 December.
The Li=E8ge Christmas Village has been held for 23 =
years and its size, duration and spirit have turned it into the most =
important Christmas market in Belgium. Every year, it brings an =
estimated one million or more people to Li=E8ge, including increasing =
numbers of foreign visitors.
Come and enjoy a cup of mulled wine, try a "peket" (a =
kind of Dutch gin) or a range of other brews, or taste flavours from =
elsewhere, and of course do some of your Christmas shopping!
